With the return of consumer confidence, the decline of gas prices and low interest rates, the metro Atlanta area could add up to 140,000 jobs this year, as stated by independent economist Marci Rossell at a meeting recently of Atlanta commercial real estate professionals.

This comes on the heels of Daimler AG choosing metro Atlanta as the new home of its Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters, which could create close to1,000 jobs to the area. State Farm Insurance Co. also create up to 8,000 on its new Dunwoody campus. For more on this click here.

With great job growth brings an increased interest with real estate and according to Freddie Mac the national average for a 30-year fixed mortgage rate is down from last month to 3.8%. This is a great time to buy a home.
